Genre: Sports | Publisher: Gameloft | Platform: Mobile
Available on iOS, Android, Windows and Blackberry, and developed and published by Gameloft, Asphalt 8: Airborne is one of the more recent games to take place in the Asphalt series. It is a realistic looking racing game that involves a number of race locales as well as a number of different racing to choice from. As a racing game, it gathers fans from nearly every age group.

Core Challenges

While most racing games aren’t too hard to play, many of them come with a slight learning curve to play. Asphalt 8: Airborne is no different, so here are three Asphalt 8: Airborne tips to help you get used to things:

The first thing that you need to decide is what control scheme you want to use. Asphalt 8: Airborne features four different control schemes. They range from automatic acceleration schemes such as the “tilt-to-steer,” “on-screen controls,” and “tap-to-steer” methods, to the manual acceleration method found in the “tilt and icons” method. There is also a traditional keyboard scheme for those that choose to play the game on a Windows 8 device. Choosing the right method for you is crucial to succeeding in the game.

Once you figure out a control scheme that works for you, it is important to actually learn how to drive. As the difficulty increases in the game, your opponents go from being new to racing to pros quickly. So learning to drive is a must. Doing this involves learning how to turn first. Once you can do that, you need to learn how to drift in Asphalt 8: Airborne so that you can handle turns easier. Lastly, you need to learn how to use the nitro you get from drifting so that you can use the ramps in the game to fly past your competition.

After you can drive comfortable, you need to avoid wrecks that involve you crashing. In Asphalt 8: Airborne you are able to make the other players crash and that is encouraged to help get you to first place in a race; however, crashing your own car is a big no-no as doing that wastes precious seconds and can move you from the front of the pack to trailing behind in a heartbeat.

Top User Questions (FAQ)

Racing fast is essential if you plan on coming in first each and every race. In order to race your fastest, you need to have nitro.
