Gaming On A Budget: Online Game Sales October 30 – November 2

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! The horror game sales are finally here! This is one time of year where most of the same games are on sale across all the platforms, so you can get in on the horror action whether you prefer PC, the latest console, or you've stuck with the Xbox 360 / PS3. We'll be staying up all night with the lights off playing these games on Halloween and hope you will be too! Not sure which one to try out first? Be sure to check out our list of the top 7 frightening games to get you in the Halloween mood.

Steam isn't messing around at all with this year's Halloween sale – there's 76 pages of games ranging from 15% – 80% off! Frankly there's just too many to even list here, but if it's a horror game on the PC, it's probably represented.

Dying Light, Left 4 Dead, Alien: Isolation, Outlast, Dead Rising, 5 Nights at Freddy's, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Amnesia, Resident Evil, and a whole lot more are ready and waiting to terrify you this weekend! Seriously, start scrolling and find something you haven't played yet, because this sale is insane.

To celebrate the best holiday of the year, GOG is having a Halloween monster hunt sale with all spooky games (and the Witcher series tacked on as well, since you do hunt monsters in that one). Steep discounts are now available for these DRM free titles:

Sanitarium (this 2D entry is a classic – pick it up if you haven't!)
Costume Quest
Victor Vran
Outlast and Outlast: Whistleblower
Deadly Premonition
Among The Sleep
Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers
A Fistful of Gun
The Penumbra Collection
Amnesia series
Last Door Collector's Edition

Forget the day of the dead, it's the Day Of The Devs with this week's bundle! The $1 tier nets you the adorably awesome Costume Quest, Hack 'N Slash, and Lumino City, with a second tier available offering Escape Goat 2 and Mercenary Kings. If you're feeling particularly charitable, a $13 tier also unlocks Massive Chalice and Grim Fandango Remastered.

A second Jumbo Bundle is also up for grabs this weekend for more gaming fun. The bottom tier unlocks Insurgency, Men Of War: Assault Squad, and a two pack of Abyss Odyssey (give one to a friend!). The mid-tier includes Blackguards 1 and 2, Contagion, and a box of mystery games to be unveiled in a few days. The top $9 tier then caps out with Spintires and Divinity: Dragon Commander.

Through the 31st, the first season The Walking Dead from Telltale Games remains free on both Microsoft consoles, but that changes out starting Sunday the 1st. Pivoting away from the scares, November 1st will see off road title Dirt 3 up for free grabs on the 360, while Xbox One players will instead get Pneuma: Breath Of Life.

Meanwhile, these Halloween themed games are also available at steep discounts through the Xbox Live store:

The Evil Within
Dead Island series
State Of Decay
Costume Quest 2
Slender The Arrival
Resident Evil
Dead Space
Plants Vs. Zombies
Alice: Madness Returns

The Playstation Plus free games rotate out on Sunday, but Sony has been mum so far on just what they'll be, so you'll find out the same time we do! You've probably already played that crop of month old free games to death, so here's whats on sale right now through the PlayStation store:

Prototype series
Costume Quest 2
Murdered: Soul Suspect
Resident Evil series
Slender: The Arrival
The Walking Dead Season One Telltale Games
Zombie Apocalypse
